Devices For Network Connection

Introduction

In this task I am going to be explaining to you about how to connect to a computer network in different ways. I also will be talking about What is 3G and 4G, What is Bluetooth and finally what is the definition of N.I.C.

3G and 4G are similar. 4G is like the same thing but it goes a bit faster than 3G and you can connect your  iPhone to the internet wirelessly. A lot of people wouldn't notice a difference between 3G and 4G on cell phones unless they are using a laptop to connect to the internet.  4G is very good when you are travelling and you can connect to the internet without any hassle. Also you can connect to the internet any were as long as it is in the 4G area. The problem with 3G is that you can’t access the internet when you are out and about for example in the car, bus or train you will have to wait till you connect to the internet at home or at work. Overall in my opinion I think that 4G is better than 3G 3G is on most major wireless network right now. 3G is fast for internet speeds. because of its speed and most of all you can connect to the internet wirelessly.  Finally I think people who use the internet everyday and don’t have access to the internet outside of their home should think of using 4G in the future.

Bluetooth is an open wireless technology standard for exchanging data over short distances from fixed and mobile devices, creating personal area networks with high levels of security. Also Bluetooth is a way of allowing wireless communication. It is able to connect several devices at once without having problems with synchronization. The advantage of having Bluetooth is that you can download music, videos, pictures and more of someone else’s device that has Bluetooth built in it. When you want to download a picture or video of someone who has Bluetooth it saves time and it can have fast download speeds depending on the memory capacity of the file you are downloading. In my opinion I think that Bluetooth is a very useful and helpful technology because it you can use Bluetooth in many different ways for example downloading a song of a friends phone which has Bluetooth on it. This can save time than downloading it at home which could take some time to do.

A network interface card (NIC) is a computer circuit board or card that is installed in a computer so that it can be connected to a network. A network interface card is useful when you want to access the internet on your computer more faster and easier. Before connecting to the internet you will need to access a server which you will need to have a network interface card in order to connect to the internet with out any problems. A network interface card would cost between £10 – £30 pounds depending on what sort of N.I.C you are looking for. A advantage of a N.I.C is that you can connect to wireless networks. In most computers a N.I.C is already built into it and this means that you don’t have to install one. The problem when connecting wirelessly is that some computers can lose connection on a regular basis to their network which means that you lose connection to the internet. In my opinion I think that a N.I.C is vital if you want to access the internet and if you want to access the network without any problems.
