Hardware Components

Your PC (Personal Computer) is a system, linked with many components. Some of those components, like Windows XP, and all your other programs, are software.

A processor is the logic circuitry that responds to and processes the basic instructions that drive a computer. The term processor has generally replaced the term central processing unit (CPU). The processor in a personal computer or embedded in small devices is often called a microprocessor.

Internal memory comes in many forms. One of them is RAM. RAM stands for Random Access Memory. RAM determines the amount of programs you can have open and keep a steady speed on your computer at the same time.
ROM is another form of memory, however. ROM stands for Read-only memory. Its  memory that your computer can  only read, but not modify.
